Different types of graphite are mixed with high-grade fireproof ceramic clay and then finely ground together. This special clay gives the graphite high breaking strength. The proportion of graphite to clay determines the softness and darkness of the lead (soft 12B to Hard 9H): the more graphite, the softer and darker the lead. Harder leads are excellent for precise, lighter lines. The ready-molded graphite pieces (leads or sticks) are then fired, giving them their final hardness. Dipping the leads into a "bath" of natural oils and waxes optimizes smoothness. Winrich has its own high-quality graphite mine. We can control the whole producing processes of graphite from raw materials to final products. Winrich can offer different levels graphite products for all industries. |
